In the competitive market of home health and hospice space, the Owner Administrator Forum Seminar allows owners and administrators to learn about the latest trends in home health and hospice and to collaborate with owners from different parts of the country. COVID-19 has had significant impacts on Medicare providers in 2020 and will likely continue to change the reimbursement landscape for home health and hospice care. This four half-day training covers advanced reimbursement topics, such as a preview of OASIS-E beginning in January 1, 2023 and reimbursement updates..

Meet the Speakers

Jim Plonsey, President Medicare Training & Consulting Inc

James E. Plonsey, President of Medicare Training & Consulting, has been involved in healthcare accounting and finance since 1980. He has been a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association since 1983. Jim is well versed in all aspects of Medicare and Medicaid participation and reimbursement. His background includes experience with providers, with the Blue Cross Association, with a major teaching hospital, and with a major accounting firm; prior to starting his own firm, Medicare Training & Consulting, in 1990. Jim also organizes and conducts seminars on a variety of issues concerning reimbursement.

James Plonsey has over 30 years of healthcare experience including six years with Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, training 750 Medicare auditors for the Fiscal Intermediary. He has owned a Home Health, West Valley Home Health in Utah.

Dana Eichler, Senior Clinical Consultant

Dana Eichler has 25 years in home care, previously supervised Quality Assurance Department for large agency with over 800 patients, BS, specializing in billing audits, working knowledge of multiple Point-of-Care software packages, expert in regulator and JCAHO issues. Dana is also one of our specialized retroactive / prospective CLIA trainers. She also a Certified Oasis Specialist-Clinical.

Cheryl Peltekis, RN Home Care Sales

Cheryl Peltekis, RN is an infectious leader in the Home Health and Hospice Industry. In 1995, Cheryl opened and built and ran, from the ground up, a multi-million dollar Medicare Certified and JACHO accredited Home Health and Hospice for over 20 years deficiency free!

Cheryl is the rare clinician who gets sales and business development. Author of The Five Steps to Sales Success, Super Hero Customer Service, and 5 Step High Performance Selling Manual. Cheryl was also the host of a radio weekly talk show, Health Matters and developed multiple diseases management programs.

She was awarded Sales Manager of the Year by Playmaker CRM in 2013. Since 2013, Cheryl opened her consulting business, Penta Care consulting and was quickly acquired by Home Care Sales by Power Shot training where she is the only RN partner with operational experience.

CANCELLATION POLICY:    If Medicare Training and Consulting must cancel a seminar due to low registration, registrants will receive a full refund by their method of payment.  If a participant cancels a reservation, notification must occur 15 or more calendar days before the meeting date for a 100% refund.  A participant may enroll in a future course in lieu of a cash refund.  Medicare Training & Consulting is unable to grant refunds for lodging, airfare, and other expenses.
