Palmetto GBA -
Rejecting Medicare Cost Reports
and Withholding Medicare Payments

Why did Palmetto Reject my Medicare Cost Report? I mailed it on time

We are informing you that Palmetto GBA had an issue with accepting Medicare Cost Reports received by May 31, 2023. As a result, Palmetto GBA notified providers that their cost report was being marked as late, and payments to these providers have been withheld, causing delays in the reimbursement for services rendered. As of June 13, 2023, Palmetto GBA is aware of the cost reports impacted. Palmetto GBA expects to reinstate payments by Thursday, June 15, 2023. Withheld reimbursement payments should be deposited into your bank account within 3-5 business days. We are in close communication with Palmetto GBA and CMS to rectify the situation and restore normal payment operations. If you need assistance restoring your Medicare payments, Medicare Training & Consulting is happy to assist. We will keep you updated on the progress made in resolving the issue.
